Are you in need of some extra help at home? UPA Riverina Murray Community Care Programs may be for you.
UPA recognises that most people want to remain in their home for as long as they can, yet sometimes need assistance to maintain their independence. If you need some extra help at home, then Riverina Murray Home Care Programs may be suitable for you. Our programs assist older Australians to remain independent and help relieve some of the duties of a carer…in your own home.
Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) (Albury and Greater Hume Shire only)
This is an excellent service for people needing some extra help. Friendly qualified staff can assist those living in the Albury and Greater Hume Shire, providing an hour, or half hour service each week at an affordable cost.
Offering domestic assistance (cleaning and laundry), help with showering and dressing, taking clients to their community activities such as shopping, banking & appointments.
Home Care Packages (HCP)
Do you have complex health issues that require assistance? Our Home Care Packages may be for you. Our Home Care Package programs help people to manage their health issues and remain in their own home and to continue to be part of their community. The program provides more visits than the Home and Community Care Program and gives access to a much larger range of services.
Once assigned a Home Care Package you will be appointed a Case Manager to develop a care plan to meet your assessed needs and goals. Within government guidelines, you can choose to spend your package funds on support, equipment or services that relate to your health, wellbeing and care.
Available services could include personal care, housework, laundry, shopping, assistance with appointments, meal preparation and medication monitoring; with access to podiatry, counselling, speech pathology, taxi vouchers to enable independent social access, mobility training to safely use public transport, basic cooking classes, payment towards some home modifications, personal support while travelling, exercise programs and classes like yoga, hydrotherapy and massage. The programs are affordable and allow for a flexible service with multiple visits per week. We can also help in organising respite care (short term care), which is especially helpful to give carers a break from their caring role.
UPA Riverina Murray staff are highly qualified and trained in aged care and first aid. Our staff are chosen because they reflect the UPA values of Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Kindness and Inclusiveness. Our staff are friendly and caring.
Currently services are offered in and around Wagga Wagga and Albury and into North East Victoria.
