Nursing Home

In a UPA Nursing Home, professional and caring staff are available around the clock to provide the level of care needed.

Special emphasis is placed on ensuring the comfort, security and privacy of residents. Comfort, dignity, self-esteem and happiness are continually evaluated to help ensure an excellent level of care.

We encourage our residents to remain as active as possible with regular craft and social activities. Relatives are also encouraged to actively participate in the program of our nursing homes.
Some of the services and programs include hairdressing visits, aromatherapy, music events, in-house chaplaincy and regular social groups and activities catering to individual needs.

Who is eligible for Nursing Care?

Before you can enter a UPA nursing home, your health, social and personal needs are assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). You can get a referral from your doctor or through you local hospital. The ACAT will determine your eligibility and discuss with you options for ongoing care.
