Aged Care (Hostel)
Assisted care is available for people who are capable living with
a degree of independence, need some support in order to manage
daily tasks but do not need full-time nursing.
With assisted care
the aim is to provide a well-maintained, home-like environment
and carers who can assess and address individual needs.
Meals are served in a communal dining room. Communal sitting and
activity areas are available as are varied activities programs
which may include shuffle board, bowls, craft activities and guest
speakers.
Residents are encouraged to maintain their outside interests
and commitments and to follow their own religious observance.
Our
assisted-care facilities offer: emergency call buttons in each
unit, with staff on-site 24 hours, ensuite units, choice of your
own doctor, access to community health services, hairdresser, pharmacy
and podiatry services, coffee and tea making facilities in each
unit, and library services.
Respite care (short term care) is also
offered during unexpected illness, injury or at times when carers
need to take a break from caring for a person in their own home.
