Heiden Park Lodge Hostel, Chinese Specific Hostel & Dementia Specific Care

Heiden Park Lodge is set in 1.5 hectares of landscaped gardens in Carramar, centrally located between Fairfield and Cabramatta and is 22 kms south west of the Sydney CBD.

Carramar railway station is located just 1 km from the Lodge and Fairfield railway station can be accessed by bus or car. The bus stop is located just outside the Lodge to take you to Fairfield Shopping Centre which hosts three main shopping centres, Neeta City, Fairfield Forum and Fairfield Chase as well as hundreds of speciality shops and quality dining and entertainment facilities including cinemas.

Cabramatta is located nearby where you can be tempted by a vast array of asian restaurants, supermarkets and specialty stores. Here you will find quality fabrics, clothing, jewellery, electrical goods and many other exciting specialities! There is also a courtesy bus from Heiden Park Lodge to Cabravale Diggers and return where you can enjoy a meal, drinks and entertainment offered by the club.

At Heiden Park Lodge there are a range of social programmes and activities available as well as spacious lounge areas, several outdoor courtyards, a well-stocked library and a craft and games room. Drop in and have a cuppa in the Hide n Seek Cafe which also features a PC and printer for internet and computer access.

Hostel Accommodation
42 Single rooms with ensuite

This style of accommodation is for people who need minimal assistance but do not require full-time nursing support. Resident rooms are spacious, individual rooms with lots of natural light and all have an ensuite bathroom. All rooms have emergency call buttons provided in bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring that assistance is on hand 24 hours a day.

Entertainment, activities and trips are all on offer. There is always something happening and family and friends are welcome to join in.

Dementia Specific Care, Yeoh & Bland Wings
24 Single rooms with ensuite

Our Dementia Wing offers spacious, single rooms with an ensuite bathroom. This special care unit is fully secured and staffed by competent and caring people and offers diversions, activities and a private courtyard which has been beautifully landscaped.

The Dementia Wing has a central dining area and lounge area. There is also an enclosed outdoor area where residents can sit and enjoy the landscaped gardens featuring Bill & Ben and a new sensory garden.

The dementia wing offers a safe environment and peace of mind, as both the facility and the surrounding grounds are fully secured with keypad entry and exit.

Our dementia care unit gives residents the best quality life in a safe and supportive environment.

Chinese Hostel Accommodation Goff Wing
17 Single rooms with ensuite

Our Goff Wing is primarily for our Chinese residents and the indoor areas are carefully decorated within that culture extending to the outdoor area with the pergola, landscaped gardens, pond and water features in the Asian theme. The Goff Wing has their own dining and lounge areas with in- house Asian cooking.

Respite - Hostel & DSU
2 Single rooms with ensuite

Respite Care provides short-term care providing a much needed break for carers, either on a planned or emergency basis. You may have up to 63 days respite in a financial year. One unit is reserved for respite care.

Our ongoing fees are set by the Commonwealth Government at 85% of the Age Pension. Where a resident has non-pension income in excess of the Government threshold the resident is also required to contribute 25% of that additional income.

There aren't any pre-determined, fixed entry contributions. Every prospective resident is considered individually and arrangements determined that reflect his/her own personal circumstances. Those without means are not required to make a contribution. It must be emphasised however that where a resident does pay us a contribution the maximum amount retained by us is limited by Government regulation.
