Carer Respite Center
The Mid North Coast Commonwealth Carer Respite Centre is part
of the Australian Governments’ National Respite for Carers
program. Its role is to provide a single point of contact for carers
requiring information on or assistance with accessing respite within
the mid north coast region.
People caring for an elderly or disabled person can access short-term and emergency respite through the Commonwealth Carer Respite Centre on Freecall 1800 059 059. The CCRC can also provide information on respite options, help carers access planned respite services, and work closely with other respite services to improve coordination of respite services, as well as identify gaps in respite service delivery.
Carelink Center
The Commonwealth Carelink Centre provides a variety of information related to services such as in-home assistance for aged and disabled persons, transport, meals, home modifications, concessions, social support, day activities and much more. Staff at the centre can tell you about services covering your area, their eligibility criteria and how to contact them.
